Arsenal boss Arteta: Nwaneri very close to senior return

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is happy seeing Ethan Nwaneri pen pro terms this week.

Arteta welcomed the deal ahead of tonight's clash with Luton.

He said: "I was really happy (that Nwaneri extended).

"He had a fantastic day, he had his whole family and important people around him.

"A really proud moment to see another academy product sign his (first) professional contract. He is very close to the first team. The opportunity is there, now he has to take it."
