Latest Injury News on Panthers RB/WR Laviska Shenault
USA TODAY Sports

Carolina Panthers running back/wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. left Sunday's game in Miami with an ankle injury and had to be carted to the locker room from the sideline.

Head coach Frank Reich told reporters Monday afternoon that there was no update on Shenault. However, according to a report from Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, there is a belief that he suffered a high ankle sprain and left the stadium Sunday evening on crutches and a walking boot. The Panthers running back room was already banged up with Miles Sanders missing the game due to a shoulder injury, but it is not believed to be something that will keep him on the shelf for very long.

In six games this season, Shenault has recorded seven receptions for 43 yards and has rushed for 55 yards on 11 carries. He has also seen some time as a kick returner, returning five kicks for 136 yards, an average of 27.2 yards per return.

The Panthers have a bye this week, so it will allow Shenault and Sanders to make some progress with their respective injuries.
