2024 NFL Draft: Three bold predictions for the Buffalo Bills
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL Draft is just one day away, and the Buffalo Bills have a long list of things that they could do.

Buffalo could stay put, they can move up, or they can trade their pick away for a big-name player. Here is what I see happening with the Bills in the NFL Draft.

The Bills will have a steal at defensive back

The Bills and Sean McDermott have been terrific at turning late-round defensive backs into productive role players. Dane Jackson was a seventh-round pick, Christian Benford was a sixth-round pick. even players they didn't draft, such as Micah Hyde (fifth-round) and Jordan Poyer (seventh-round) turned their careers around with the Bills under McDermott. The Bills have three fifth-round picks- they'll turn one of those into a Pro Bowl defensive back.

The Bills will draft Dylan Laube

Laube is a back that fits exactly what the Bills do. He is a tremendous receiving threat out of the backfield, and is a powerful runner- that's a good combination. James Cook isn't going anywhere, but taking a potential future No. 2 behind him to groom in the sixth round would be a good idea.

The Bills will trade up for a big-name receiver

In case you haven't heard, the Bills need a receiver. If I'm Brandon Beane, I'm looking at the Atlanta Falcons at No. 8 as a prime target. They will likely be taking an edge rusher or someone on the defensive side of the ball. They can trade back to 28, get a healthy sum of picks, and still take a player at a position of need in the process. Meanwhile, the Bills take Rome Odunze as their new top receiver.
