Wake Forest secured a huge win over No. 8 ranked Duke on Saturday afternoon to dramatically improve its NCAA tournament resume. But what happened after the game is going to steal most of the headlines.
As the Wake Forest student section stormed the court in celebration, Duke star Kyle Filipowski was injured in a collision with Wake Forest students and needed assistance leaving the floor to get into the locker room.

According to Duke coach Jon Scheyer, Filipowski suffered a knee injury in the incident.
Jon Scheyer just texted to confirm/correct his postgame comments: Kyle Filipowski suffered a knee injury, not an ankle, during the court-storm.

Court storming has been a controversial subject in college basketball given the risk to players and fans. An incident like this, whether Filipowski is injured long-term or not, is only going to throw gasoline onto the raging fire that is that discussion.
Scheyer added to that discussion on Saturday afternoon by asking when the practice is going to be banned by the NCAA.

This is the second time this season a prominent college basketball player was involved in an incident like this.
Iowa's Caitlin Clark was fortunate to avoid an injury when she was run into by an Ohio State fan a month ago.
Filipowski is one of Duke's best players and a projected first-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
